Cheryl Giambrone

MA, Licensed Professional Counselor

Cheryl is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her BS in Human Rehabilitative Services and her MA in Clinical Mental Health with an emphasis in Marriage & Family therapy both from the University of Northern Colorado.

Cheryl has compassion and empathy for those who have been hurt and for those who have hurt others.   Whatever one’s challenges, Cheryl believes there is a way to heal and live a life where pain, suffering, guilt, and shame do not rule. She works with acute and complex trauma, adjustments to life changes, relational issues, communication skills, co-dependency, anxiety, and depression. She offers faith-based therapy for those who are interested in incorporating spiritual healing in their therapy.

Partnering with clients is a first step for therapy and Cheryl does this by establishing a foundation of trust through psychotherapy.  She is certified in EMDR and uses it for trauma-related issues as well as improving oneself in sports, leadership, and other areas where advancement is desired. She is also trained in motivational interviewing and evidenced-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and acceptance commitment therapy.

Cheryl looks forward to partnering with her clients in their journey towards healing.
